More things happened today! Number 1: Mrs F LIKED my theme and sent it in to the contest. It's about the first one I've written that hasn't been the worst in the class. Number 2: No more music lessons. My teacher had to quit because of Drs orders, and the other two teacher's schedules were filled. Guess I am forced to take a holiday for a while. No.3: The "Advertiser" is going to take our pictures making choir robes tomorrow. More fun. No. 4: Finally got around to buying Mom's gravy bowl. It's yellow. No. 5: Went to a technicolor movie. "Dive Bomber" with Errol Flynn. Very good!

There was an all-school assembly second period so we didn't have any English. She was going to make us write an application for a job in class. Now we get to do it for homework. The other classes have to read their's in class, and we don't. Wrote mine in the library instead of going to assembly. There is a new girl at school. She's from California and she's very cute. Seems like a swell girl, too.

Finished up the Christmas cards so Mom could get them off on the boat tomorrow. She got twenty-five prints of a picture she took of us kids so she could send them to some of her best friends. Lucky people!.

Ah! at last 'tis Friday. Nothing of import happened except that the second year French class decided to use the pin I designed. They didn't even look at any others. I guess they liked mine because it was so nice and inexpensive and simple.

Kay and I are going to usher at the Community Theater play at Punahou tomorrow evening. Patsy got us seats for today and everything got all messed up. Pat finally gave them to some friends of her's and everyone was happy. Put an ad for a class ring on Mom's bureau. I hope she takes the hint!! There's a terrific gale blowing. I'm going to wash my hair tomorrow if it kills me!!

Washed my hair finally. It's warm again, so it dried real fast. Read the paper and then it was time to eat lunch. Listened to the Shriner's football game over the radio. The University beat Willamatte 20 - 6. I spent all afternoon reading funny books and trying to get our transportation figured out for tonight. Finally fixed it so Hester took us and Dad brought us home. We (Kay and I) were ushering at Punahou for the play "Mr and Mrs. North". It was pretty good. We got home about ten of twelve and I'm very sleepy. Lani invited us to dinner Tuesday.
